Hello friends and welcome to a new decade! Last night I celebrated the end of 2009 with a small, quiet get together at the Franciosi residence. I had several thoughts going through my head (mostly NWA stuff) and for some reason at about 11:30PM those thoughts went away. No, not because I was plastered (although the Vodka Martini’s were present) but rather, Dick Clark appeared for the first time on his “Rock’n Eve” program over the ABC Network. For some reason, I paid close attention to what Clark had to say and I was just tickled to see the man still functioning! So midnight hits, we toast, we laugh and we head home and I sleep only to wake up to these beautiful images outside my place in North Hollywood, CA (just behind the Hollywood Hills and sits in between the 405 freeway to the west and Burbank to the East).

Although I am a native “Angelino,” these great, big, blue skies are kind of a dine a dozen, but today, I’m looking at it as a sign of good things to come. There are a lot on our plate here in the National Wrestling Alliance. I’m really looking forward to working with Greg Price (www.nwalegends.com) on his events. I’m impressed that on his first go around, he has secured our Worlds Champion Blue Demon, Jr. and Phill Shatter, our National Champion. Shatter is a big man, with a bright future, but he has a hell of a challenge on his hands in the way of 2 times Worlds Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce. I know there is a great group of guys in the Mid-Atlantic area and with Price and the “NWA in Charlotte” (http://nwaincharlotte.net/) promotion starting up on Jan. 23^rd folks in that area will have several fantastic events scheduled this year.

So before I go, I have to share this photo. It too is from this morning, but in Boston. My buddy (and NWA Referee) Mike Mongoose is working the NHL Winter Classic at Finway. He's recently become an Angelino and I bet he sure misses Santa Monica right about now. Keep warm - HOT CHOCOLATE HERE!
